We started our journey with music video production for local artists in the Southern California region, and we are going strong in this arena after years. Music videos are especially fun to produce, but don’t let the final product fool you. It takes detailed planning, hours and hours of shooting, and multiple rounds of editing. Needless to say, we love every stage of music video production.
The process starts with getting to listen to the specific song that needs the video. Most of the time, the artist will already have an overall idea of what they want the video to be like. This is a great place to start. In some cases, the artist doesn’t have a clue of what they want. This is absolutely fine as well and we will be more than happy to propose some ideas. Before we get started on pitching ideas, we would need to know the rough budget for the video.
Knowing the budget for a video is a very important step of music video production and any video production. If we are asked to propose an idea for a video without knowing the budget we’re working with, then we’re doing a lot of guess work of where we can shoot, how many people we can have involved in the video, and what type of props we can work with. Knowing the budget first will help us cut back on the guessing work and submit ideas that would be more fitting for the budget. Once we agree on an idea and budget we can move on to assembling the awesome team to take it into production.
